Last day of summer

I took Mattie, Lauren, and their friend, Adrienne hiking at Smith Rock yesterday. It was a beautiful day and I had a lot of fun with them.

Then Chris and Sam spend the afternoon golfing. Today is Sam's last day of summer - he starts school tomorrow. He has chosen to spend his day at the lake - even though it is 75 degrees. I'm trying to humor him and be happy about it.

Until tomorrow when four children will be at school and Jonas and I will have ourselves a quiet day at home and the fabric store and maybe out for lunch....
