Sam Hits a Dozen

Can you believe he's 12? It happened last weekend...and given it was such a milestone birthday, we celebrated all weekend. On Saturday we took him and several of his good friend up to the mountains for tubing and snow fun.

There were jumps....

And races...

And everyone survived...including mom and dad

Sunday was a special day. After church, where Sam attended primary for the final time (i think that was the most exciting thing for him all weekend), grandparents, aunts & uncles, cousins and friends came to our house for Sam's ordination to the Aaronic Priesthood. He is now a geekin' Deacon...way to go kid.

After the ordination, Sam received a copy of his line of authority....which included his father, grandfather, and great grandfather; all of which were there and participated in the ordination circle. Four generations of priesthood holders...

And of course afterward we had a party. Good thing Jonas was there to help Sam blow out all those candles.

We love you Sam....looking forward to the next 12.
