Time has slipped away from me and here it is almost April and I have yet to update our blog this year!! Here are some glimpses from the year so far....
Sam turned 14!! I can't believe he's so old!!
He also got braces. And he's still a good-looking boy!
And he spent his hard earned money on an airsoft sniper rifle. He spent 3 days cleaning out a crawl space that had been infested by rodents. It was disgusting and uncomfortable but I think he's glad he did it. I have to say I was shocked when the box was delivered - I didn't realize how BIG the gun would be!
And for his birthday party he invited his friends for an airsoft war in the woods. What would you think if this group was walking through your neighborhood on their way to the forest?
One thing I am really thankful for is that our kids have chosen such good friends. While only one of these boys is a member of the church (so far) they are all good kids from good families. Sam has been friends with some of these boys since kindergarten. I hope they will still be good friends as they start high school next year because, honestly, high school scares me.Over spring break, the Battens came for a visit. I'm always more motivated to do things like sledding when family is visiting. We had a great time with them - thanks for coming, Batten family!
